Wallace Riley Rogers, 90, beloved husband of Faye Waldrop Rogers, passed away on April 20, 2025, in Greenville. He lived a rich and fulfilling life, dedicating over 41 years to the trucking business, where he exemplified hard work and diligence.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Robert and Riley Mae Porter Rogers.
A proud veteran, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the
Korean War, a period that shaped his values and instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism. His commitment to service extended beyond his military career, as he actively participated in his community and offered his time and culinary skills at Rock Springs Baptist Church, where he was a beloved member.
Wallace had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought joy not only to him but also to those around him. He took great pride in his yard and enjoyed gardening, where his nurturing spirit thrived. His love for the outdoors was complemented by his enthusiasm for playing golf and trout fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the peacefulness it provided. Additionally, Wallace was renowned for his cooking abilities, often sharing his talents during church events, further showcasing his desire to contribute to his community.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 70 years, Faye, he is survived by his sons, Scott Rogers of Central, Brett Rogers (Gale) of Clemson, and Bart Rogers (Kimberly) of Easley; grandchildren, Tyler Rogers, Keri Marino (Tanner), Cole Rogers, Riley Rogers, Tara Ann Rogers; great-grandchildren, Grae Rogers, Finn Rogers, Ryder Marino, Evie Marino, and Milo Marino; a brother, Dr. Wayne Rogers of Tryon, NC; and a sister, Betty Taylor of Greer.
Mr. Rogers was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Scott Rogers, brothers, Jimmy Rogers and Boyce Rogers, and a sister, Linda McKee.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM in the chapel of Rock Springs Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00. A private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Rock Springs Baptist Church will provide a meal for the family immediately following the graveside service.

Wallace Riley Rogers leaves behind cherished memories for all who knew him, as well as a legacy of service, dedication, and love for family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
