James Wallace Moon "WaWa"
Central, SC
James Wallace Moon "WaWa", 79, and husband of Liz Moon, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, August 2, 2018.
He was born in Greenville, a son of Willard and Carrie Hawkins Moon. Wallace was a lifelong Wesleyan, first in Greenville, and most recently at Trinity Wesleyan in Central. He was a Navy veteran and was proud of his service. WaWa was an avid Clemson fan, hardly ever missing a baseball, football, or basketball game. He was also a past member of the Berea Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Liz; three brothers, Robert (Helen), Lester (Alice), and Kenneth (Ann) all of Greenville; fourteen nieces and nephews and fifteen great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, WaWa was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Paul, and Earl.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Issaquena Trail, in Central. Interment will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 until 1:45 P.M.
Flowers will be accepted. Those who wish to remember WaWa in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Trinity Wesleyan Church.
