Walter Floyd Collins

Mr. Walter Floyd Collins of Easley, South Carolina, husband of Margaret Blackston Collins, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Born in Pickens, SC, he was the son of the late Lloyde Collins and Ellen Ellenburg Collins Dorsey.

Mr. Collins worked as Maintenance Manager at Wangner Systems in Greenville, South Carolina prior to retiring. He was a Christian and a member at Brandon Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 61 years, are his children, Wendell Collins (Sandra), Gail McCachren (Rob), and Tammie Collins all of Easley; grandchildren, Carey Bryson (Brad), Wesley Collins (Cortnee), Robert McCachren, and Ryan McCachren; great grandchildren, Davis, Brayden and Breanna Bryson and Avaree, Adi Mcrea and Mila Collins; sisters, Mary Edwards (Larry) and Ruby Dorsey (Mike) and brothers, Jimmy Dorsey (Louise) and Doyle Dorsey (Dretha) all of Pickens, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Harold Collins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30am - 10:45am at the funeral home.
