Walter Daniel "Dan" Davenport

Walter Daniel "Dan" Davenport, 71, husband of Judy Nations Davenport, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022.

Born in Greenville County, a son of Betty Doris Davenport and the late Cecil Joseph Davenport, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cooking, making jelly, and spending time with his family. Dan proudly served his country in the US Army and retired as a machinist at Michelin after twenty years of service. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and his wife of fifty years, are sons, Chad Davenport (Marion) of Anderson and Jason Davenport (Sheri) of Simpsonville; a sister, Karen Cobb (Bobby) of Greenville; grandchildren, Jacob Davenport, Matthew Davenport, Nathan Davenport, Lexi Davenport, Genevieve Jameson, and Casey Clark; and a great-grandchild, Maeverie Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
