Mr. Walter Eugene "Gene" Tollison, 81, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital-Downtown.

Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Walter Tillman and Pallie Elizabeth Spearman Tollison, Mr. Tollison was the retired owner and operator of Blue Ridge Tool and Machine and was a member of Easley First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Furman University and a US Navy Reserve veteran.

Surviving are the mother of his son, Gail C. Tollison; his son, Christopher Edward "Chris" Tollison (Stephanie) of Simpsonville; a daughter, Gena Thomas (Jeff) and their children of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Jake Tollison of Greer; a sister, Jane Dixon of Tigerville; and five grandchildren, Carson, Garrett, and Ellie Tollison, and Kory and Adam Griggs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tollison was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Tollison; and two sisters, Marguerite Ann Stone and Mary Sue Ashworth.

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Monday, November 17, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:15 PM Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
