Walter L. Vaughan, Jr., 82, of 116 Nottingham Way, passed away Thursday October 7, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Greenville, SC, a son of the late Walter Lee Vaughan, Sr. and Janie Black Vaughan. He retired from Saco Lowell and later worked at Ingles. He was a member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church and the B.R. Huckaby Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Gwen Adkins Vaughan, of the home; a son, Andrew Lee Vaughan and wife, Jan, of Easley; a brother, Tommy Vaughan, of Greenville; a sister, Jean Head, of Greenville, a granddaughter, Diane Renee Vaughan Sentell, of Easley and a great-granddaughter, Patricia Renee Sentell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Lisa Vaughan.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Monday October 11, 2010 at Berea Friendship United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Brown officiating.
Visitation will follow the service at the church.
The family is at the home.
