Wanda Mae Kiefer

Wanda Mae Kiefer, 83, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at The Retreat of Easley.

Born in Fairbury, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Wesley M. and Loretta Van Camp Kiefer. Wanda was a happy and loving person who always supported her family no matter what. She worked for Air Canada based at O’Hare International Airport for over thirty years. With her job, she was able to travel the world, her favorite place being Africa as she loved all of the wildlife there. Her love for animals was dear to her, as she rescued several cats over the years. Wanda also loved gardening and was an avid reader. She volunteered for many years with United Methodist Ministries and Easley Baptist Hospital. Wanda was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church and was very active in her Sunday School Class and the Shut-In Ministry.

She is survived by her sister, Marcia Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Carey, and her husband Bill; and a brother-in-law, Don Simmons.
