Wayne H. Haynes, Jr., 78, of 535 Three Bridges Road, died Monday, January 29, 2007, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Wayne H. and Velma Ward Haynes, Sr., Mr. Haynes retired as a diesel mechanic with Penske Trucking Company and was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. He was a US Marine veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Priscilla Kelley Haynes of the home; a son, Larry W. Haynes of Powdersville; six daughters, Tammy Lockee, Sandra Burger and Vickie Trotter and Diane Cooper of Powdersville, Debra Shumaker of Piedmont and Shirley Smith of Pelzer; four brothers, Randy, Mike, Allen and Pat Haynes all of Williamston; six sisters, Allene and Eleanor Lobsco, both of CA, Linda Motes of Anderson, Joyce Wilkerson of Williamston, Frances League of Easley and Faye Harris of Greenville; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Haynes.
