Wayne Leroy Hunter, 68, of 97 McCollum Street, died Thursday, Januray 3, 2008 at his home.

Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Haudie Lawrence and Minnie Roper Hunter. He was a supervisor for Mayfair Mills in Pickens. Mr. Hunter was a Veteran of the US Army and a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Eugenia Spearman Hunter of the home; a son, Jeffrey Hunter and wife Brandy of Germany; a daughter, Stephanie H. Arnold and husband Andrew of Greenville; a brother, Ronald Hunter of Easley; a sister, Gayle Corbin of Greer; three grandchildren, Katelyn Hunter, Abigal Arnold, Jackson Arnold; and an expected grandchild, Evan Hunter Arnold. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Heyward Hunter; and two sisters, Hazel Nalley, and Helen Simmons.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Dr. Roger Couch and Craig Spearman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jones Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund; 614 Ross Avenue; Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the home.
