Wayne L. McCombs, 86, of 215 Scotland Road died May 16, 2007 at Palmetto Health Baptist.
Born in Pickens County he was a son of the late Jesse L. and Minnie Marie Hawkins McCombs. He was a retired employee with Milliken Mills of Greenville, a US Army Veteran of WWII and a life long member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Bernice Keasler and husband Dennis of Pickens and Mary Lee Alexander of Easley; sister, Ruby Childress of Easley; grandchildren, Lisa Hill and husband Tommy, Rachel Martin and husband Philip, and Dwayne Alexander and wife Hazel; great-grandchildren, Jessica Hill, Talon Hill, Macy Martin and Breanna Martin; and a special friend, Vivian Jameson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Simpson McCombs; a daughter, Marie Carolyn McCombs; and a grandson, Donnie Keasler.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday at Cedar Rock Baptist Church with Revs. Bobby Caldwell and H. C. Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at his residence.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cedar Rock Baptist Church Building Fund, 1167 Cedar Rock Road, Easley, SC 29640.
