Mr. Wayne J McCracken, 93, husband of the late Marilyn Kelley McCracken, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born in Toledo, OH, a son of the late Lenise Lloyd and Bessie Snyder McCracken, Mr. McCracken was a retired drafting engineer with the Jeep Corporation, Toledo, OH, and was a US Army Air Corps veteran having served in WWII. Wayne was a life-long resident of Toledo, OH and a member of Central United Methodist Church. In 2006 Mr. McCracken moved to Easley, SC and joined Easley First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Sylvania Pyramid Masonic Lodge for sixty-five years, and a Boy Scout leader for more than thirty years.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald McCracken (Susan) of Easley, SC, James McCracken (Cathie) of Yadkinville, NC, and Charles McCracken (Beckie) of London, OH; three daughters, Patricia Shigley (Ed) of Easley, SC, Marjorie Malphrus (Duane) of Greenville, SC, and Debra McCracken of West Palm Beach, FL; a brother-in-law, Richard Kelley of New Smyrna Beach, FL; fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McCracken was predeceased by four brothers, Donald, Gerald, Robert, and Keith McCracken.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Easley First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Rodney Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Sylvania Memorial Gardens in Toledo, OH, at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday in the church fellowship hall, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
