WilsonCentral, SCWayne James Wilson, 57, of 206 Smith Memorial Highway, husband of Doris Crane Wilson, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his home.Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late L.B. and Sarah Russell Wilson.  Wayne was a graduate of Seneca High School and was a retired employee from the welding shop at Clemson University.  He was a metal craftsman and loved blacksmithing, welding and ironwork.  After his retirement he worked part time with the Town of Pendleton and earned his Operator C SC biological wastewater treatment license.  He loved to fish and hunt, he loved his family and was a friend to his community.Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Wayne James Wilson II and wife, Stephanie and their children, Stella and Maddox of Cashiers, NC; brother, Lawrence "Biddy" Wilson and wife, Pam Jordan of Six Mile, and sister, Wanda Cobb and husband, Tony of Seneca.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Grail Jay Wilson; daughter, Sarah Marie Wilson; and brother, Donnie Russell.Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday at Six Mile Church of God of Prophecy with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Thursday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Six Mile Church of God of Prophecy.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or at the funeral home.
