Mr. Welton Clyde "Welt" Ragsdale, age 90, of Greenville, loving husband of Sarah Coker Ragsdale, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.


Welt was born in Walhalla, SC on July 23, 1925 to the late Charles Clifton and Essie Orr Ragsdale. He retired from Milliken Company as a draw end operator. Welt was a member of the Woodmen of the World, along with the Powdersville Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to work around his home, and especially loved taking care of his garden. Welt was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in World War II and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.


In addition to his loving wife, Welt is survived by a son; Travis W. Ragsdale (Kathy), of Florence, SC; a daughter; Janice R. Wilson (Jimmy), of Edgefield, SC; and a sister; Roberta Looper of Easley.


In addition to his parents, Welt was preceded in death by a brother; Eugene Ragsdale; and two sisters; Verenda Long and Thelma Williams.


The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley SC 29642. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:15 PM at Robinson Memorial Gardens.


The family is at the residence and asks that any memorial donations be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
