Mr. Welton "Bud" Smith, 75, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Easley he was a son of the late Dewey and Elsie Ellenburg Smith. Following an enlistment in the U.S. Army, Mr. Smith was a Construction Personnel Manager. He enjoyed golf and was a loyal member of Fountain Inn Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years Carol Harris Smith of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Skip and Kathy Smith of Easley; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Keith Bennefield of Mauldin; two sisters, Hazel West and Lois Stewart both of Easley; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2006 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home ~ Downtown with the Reverends Robert Broome and Steve Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will held from 3:00 until 3:45 Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions be made to Fountain Inn Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 846, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
The family is at the home of Skip and Kathy Smith, 102 Oxford Court, Easley, SC 29642.
