Wendy Laraine Garrison Greene, 53, of Greenville, South Carolina, fiancée of Randy Lemmons, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Born in Rockingham, North Carolina, on March 19, 1972, she was a daughter of Benford Gary and Jean Shepard Garrison. Wendy dedicated her life not merely to teaching but to inspiring young minds as a High School Math Teacher at Siloam Christian School. An alumnus of Tabernacle Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina, Wendy proudly earned her bachelor’s degree in education, a testament to her pursuit of knowledge and her desire to enlighten others. Wendy's personality radiated joy, she was known for her ever-present smile, which she wore even amidst life's challenges. The love she bore for her family, particularly her son, was profound. He was the light of her world, and her devotion to him was both a source of strength and inspiration. Their bond was a testament to the love that flourished within her heart. A true servant of her faith, Wendy cherished her relationship with the Lord and was an active member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Her faith was an integral part of her identity, guiding her through life's trials and tribulations, and encouraging those around her to seek solace in the same unwavering belief that she held dear. Wendy’s zest for life extended beyond her teaching and family duties. She cherished the joy of the Christmas season, delighting in the preparations and spirit that the holiday brought. Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt, she loved shopping, creating beautiful crafts, cooking meals filled with love, and taking the time to watch birds, finding beauty in nature's simple pleasures. Among her most treasured companions in life was her beloved fur baby, Moo Moo, who provided her with comfort and companionship.

In addition to her fiancée, Wendy is survived by her son, Matthew Joel Williamson (Alex Marie); a brother, Jason Benford Garrison (Allison Nicole); a sister, Hollie Renee Darden; a granddaughter, Hensley Claire Bennefield; nieces and nephews, Garrison O’Neal Darden, Jameson Brant Darden, Addison Daye Darden, and Jackson Benford Bo Darden; a bonus-daughter, Kari Ard; and a bonus grandson, Ryker Ard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Wendy will be laid to rest on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM, in Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham, North Carolina.
