Wendy Sandra Christopherson Walsh, wife of the late David Irvin Walsh, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the age of 84.

 Born on January 18, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Elsie Anna Will Christopherson.

Wendy built a distinguished career in the Chemistry department at her alma mater, North Dakota State University, where she graduated with a degree in Chemistry. 

When Wendy wasn't working, she was a member of a boating club in Charleston, and taught marine navigation, where she would utilize various tools and the stars to navigate in open waters. Wendy also loved to travel. Her and her late husband David would travel around the world together visiting numerous countries, and different sites around the world. 

Wendy was also involved in various humanitarian groups around the world. She was also a member of the American Civil Liberties Union. In her younger days, Wendy was a member of the Girl Scouts. 

Surviving are her sons Dr. Mark Walsh (Tammie) of Central and William Walsh (Lori) of Charlotte, NC. Her grandchildren Zachary Walsh (Kayla), Hannah Rollins (Robert), Noah Holliday (Ruth) and Krista Walsh; her great-grandchildren Caden, Jaxton, Jessica, and Charlene; and her sister Deborah Johnson. 

In addition to her beloved husband of 53 years, and her parents, Wendy was preceded in death by her sister Sonia Schemmel.
