Charles Wesley "Wes" Birt, Sr.

Mr. Charles Wesley "Wes" Birt, Sr., 69, of 105 Allison Ct., husband of the late Marilyn Williams Birt, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Oakmont West in Greenville.
Born June 26, 1942 in Barnwell, SC, he was the son of the late Charles Birt and Mattie Lou Keel Birt Dyches. Mr. Birt was a retired printer with Dynagraphics, INC with twenty six years of service and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. In his early life he was involved in drag racing winning many events, and was a fan of NASCAR. He was a Past Master of Sam Poe Lodge.
Mr. Birt is survived by his daughters, Pamela Bagwell (Mike) of Greenville and Karen Birt of the home; son, Charles Birt (Sherry) of Florence; sister, Alice Willis (Ralph) of Barnwell; three grandchildren, Laura Bagwell, Christopher Birt and John Bagwell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Dr. Jim Spencer and Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, 40 Laurel Ridge Rd., Greenville, SC.
