Wesley Gilbert Bowman, age 43, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at his home. Wes was born on November 23, 1977 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Gilbert and Nancy Bowman. He was a proud graduate of Shelby High School in 1996 and Appalachian State University in 2000. Wes was most happy spending time with family and friends and had many friends near and far. He was employed by Synnex Corporation in Greenville, South Carolina.
Wes was preceded in death by his grandparents Wesley and Julia O'Dell and Gilbert Franklin Bowman, Sr. and Virginia Martin.
In addition to his parents, Wes is survived by his sister Amy Bowman Goforth and her husband D Goforth, niece Emma Goforth, nephew Trey Goforth of Shelby and his long-time canine companion Boone.
A memorial service to honor Wes's life will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00pm at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 1021 Hudson Road, Greenville, South Carolina. Seating will be limited due to St. Giles' COVID precautions. The service will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/c/StGilesPresbyterianChurch
