Wesley Clifton (Dub) Bridges, 86, of 251 Pickens Drive, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Heritage Health Care of Toccoa, GA.

He was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Clifton Carr and Margaret L. Banks Bridges, Mr. Bridges was a farmer, a member of Six and Twenty Baptist Church and a former RA leader.

Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife Sara Lee Hubbard Bridges of Toccoa, GA.; two sons, Wesley Bridges and his wife Kae of Central, and Marshall Bridges and his fiancee, Charlene Smith of Pendleton; four daughters, Betty Nelson and husband Donald of Seneca, Ann Wilson of Toccoa GA., Shirley Thomas and husband Danny of Pumpkintown, and Mary Marcus and fiancee, Manuel Maldonado of Greenville; three sisters, Fannie Reeves of Easley, Louise Reeves of Pickens and Frances Sutherland of Woodruff; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Lloyd Bridges.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Six and Twenty Baptist Church.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, and will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of a daughter at 300 Ashbrook Circle in Seneca.
