Reverend Wilbur A. Key

Reverend Wilbur Augusta Key, 77, of Ballentine Street, loving husband of Shirley Jewell Duncan Key, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home.
Born in Evansville, IN, he was a son of the late Reverend Uen Augusta Key and Eva Mae Schnell Key.
Reverend Key was a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University where he earned his bachelors degree in religion. His pastoral career span from 1977 to the present, having pastored churches in Florence, North Charleston, Whitmire and locally, Hilltop Wesleyan Church (Smith Chapel) in Liberty and Horton Memorial and Fountain Inn Wesleyan Church. He was a member of the SC District of the Wesleyan Church, previously served on the Board of Visitors at Southern Wesleyan University, a member of the Darlington Jaycees, and was a member of the Lions Club for 48 years, serving as president and vice president.
Reverend Key was predeceased by his step mother, Reland Elam Key.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 56 years, are his children, Scott Key (Karen) of Easley, Ben Key (Jodi) of Taylors and Phyllis Singleton (Scott) of Easley; grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, Britni, Benjamin and Briana Key, Savannah, Hunter and Sailor Singleton; great grandchildren, Hudson and Finley; and a brother, Paul Key (Diane) of Cullman, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow at Hilltop Wesleyan Church in Liberty.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hilltop Wesleyan Church, 125 Hillandale Rd., Liberty, SC 29657.
The family will be at the home.
