Wilene Robinson Schumpert Cohen, 67, wife of Dr. Peter Cohen, died Saturday, November 1, 2014.

Born in Columbia, SC, she was the eldest daughter of the late Lloyd and Sarah Tompkins Robinson. Wilene was a retired teacher, having taught in Greenville and Oconee Counties. She was a graduate of Winthrop University and earned her Master's degree from Furman University.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Clemson.

Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, David Robert Schumpert III, of Seneca and Adam Ellison (Martha) Schumpert of Nashville, TN; daughters, Elizabeth Suzanne Schumpert of Central, SC and Jessica Helaine Schumpert Cohen of Indian Trail, NC; sister, Ginger Roper of Riverside, California; grandchildren, Daniel, Isaac, Oliver and Devon; and great grandchildren, Amber and Brandon. In addition, she was predeceased by a sister, Rita Sturkie, and first husband, David Robert Schumpert, Jr.

A Celebration of Wilene's Life will be 11 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.

Family requests that all guests be dressed in bright colors in remembrance of Wilene.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atlantic Institute, Greenville; SC, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Clemson, SC; International Story Telling Center, Jonesborough, TN; and, Greenville Health System Cancer Institute, Greenville, SC.
