Willene Grant Abercrombie

Willene Grant Abercrombie, 76, wife for 55 years of the late Bobby Joe Abercrombie, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Abercrombie was born in Anderson County, and was a daughter of the late Ralph L. and Essie Lollis Grant Curren She was a member of the 1957 graduating class of D. W. Daniel High School which was the first graduating class and a member of the Beta Club. She was retired from Anderson Auto Parts, Clemson and Joe's Body Shop and was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer for eighteen years.

Surviving are a son, Keith (Susan) Abercrombie of Central; a grandson, Kyle Joseph Abercrombie of Central; a sister, Patsy (Bill)Fendley of Six Mile and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by, a brother, Kenneth Grant and a special aunt, Lena Mae Grant.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Randall Perry, Rev. Darren Rood, and Rev. William Fendley.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to caregivers, Sue Jones, Helen McCall, Annette Holder and Hospice of the Upstate for all their love and kindness.
