William Francis Alvey

William "Bill" Francis Alvey, 67, of Easley, husband to Cecilia Elizabeth Rodgers Alvey, passed peacefully Monday, November 28, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Elwood, IN to the late Robert Francis and Marian L. Berry Alvey.

Bill was a retired veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.   He enjoyed building guitars, gardening, landscaping, camping, riding his Harley, and he was an avid reader, world traveler, and a man of many interests.   He was a proud member of the N.R.A.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years; 4 children, Jonathon (Kristie), Angela (Larry), Andrew, and Charlotte; brother, Bob; sisters, Susan, Joyce, Annie, Libby, Sarah, and Brigitte; 5 granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons; and canine companion, Amy.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 1st at 1:00 PM in Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley with Fr. Bart Leon officiating.
