Captain William Frederick Young, 97, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Born in Akron, Ohio, a son of William Jennings Young and Anna May Haggerman Young Sibley, he proudly served in the Naval Aviation during World War II and then served in and retired from the Air Force on September 20, 1967. He was employed by the National Cash Register as a quality control officer for over thirty years before retiring. Bill was an avid golfer, loved building blue bird houses and playing free cell on the computer.

He is survived by his son, Clifford A. Young of Clayton, Ohio; daughters, Sue Ann Bouchard of Orlando, Florida and Amy L. Young of Easley, SC; five grand-children, Alicia Sanders, Denyce Switzer, Seth Smith, Noel Young, and Dillan Young; and twelve great-grandchildren, Hayden, Sydney, Alexa, Sullivan, Carson, Danielle, Gabriel, Levi, Camille, Reagan, Kylee and Kinsley.

He is predeceased by his wife, Lois G. Layman Young; sister, Marianne Sibley Gallup; brother, Richard E. Young.

The family is hosting a private family burial.
