William "Bill" Anderson Bishop. 89, of 905 Saluda Dam Road, faithful son of his Lord and Saviour, crossed heavens gate on Monday May 18, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Bishop was born in Anderson County, SC, a son of the late Dock and Emma Brown Bishop. He was a self employed carpenter and a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville, where he twice served as chairman of the deacons and was involved in the Sunday School for forty years and teacher of the Bill Bishop Bible Class. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.

Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Montez King Bishop, of the home ; sons, Dock P. "Billy" Bishop and his wife, Grady Lou, of Easley, Jimmy Bishop, of Easley, Terry P. Bishop and his wife, Pat, of Greenville and Donnie Bishop and his wife, Debi, of Greenville ; a brother, T.C. Bishop, of Easley ; a sister, Clarissa Nalley, of Easley ; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Leo Bishop and William Dale Bishop ; two sisters, Ora Holiday and Ruby Albertson.

Funeral Services will be 3:30 pm Wednesday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with the Reverend Mark Bishop, Reverend Dr. Melvin Aiken and Reverend Dr. Ben Carper officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.

The body will be placed in the church at 3:00 pm Wednesday.

The Escort of Honor will be members of the Bill Bishop Bible Class, the men of the Auditorium Bible Class and Mr. Roy Lesley.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley.

The family is at the home of Billy and Grady Lou Bishop, 805 Olive Street, Easley.
