William James Bradley, Jr., 73, husband of Marcia Ogle Bradley, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital following a seven month battle with cancer. He was born in Tennessee on November 1, 1939 to the late William and Alice Hardwick Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a graduate of Sylacauga High School Class of 1957 in Sylacauga, Alabama. He served eleven years in the US Navy including service on a guided missile cruiser off Vietnam. Mr. Bradley returned to Tennessee where he worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority and retired from Gallatin Steam Plant. He was an avid Vols fan.

Bill was an active member of Nine Forks Baptist Church where he served as asst. Men's Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. He was also past president of the Dacusville Lions Club and a volunteer with United Christian Ministries. Bill and Marcia loved traveling especially to beaches in Florida, Hawaii, Myrtle Beach and Hunting Island where they spent many happy hours beachcombing, fishing and shrimping.

He is survived by Marcia, the love of his life, and her son, Geneen Peterson; grandson, Hunter Peterson; SC Daughter, Lisa Sayatte; sister, Jane B. Handley (Bill); nieces, Liz McKinney (Tim), Becky Stovall, nephew, Bill Handley (Teresa); great-nieces, Erika and Megan Handley; and great-nephew, Bryan McKinney (Ashley) and Lilie and Payton.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Nine Forks Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:45 PM Friday at the church, prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the choir or youth fund of Nine Forks Baptist Church, 3207 Earls Bridge Road, Easley, SC 29640 or to the charity of your choice.
