William "Butch" Bridges
- Easley, SC
William Lloyd Bridges, 68, husband of Pauline Bridges, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Butch was a Navy man through and through, a veteran of Vietnam, proud to serve his country. He always offered advice and a helping hand where he could. He laughed a lot, loved a lot and will be missed dearly. He was proud of his country and tried to see as much of it as he could, as a hard rock miner, rodeo rider and adventurer. Butch was a simple man, a cowboy.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Jesse Fowler, Raymond Fowler and Shad Bridges; two daughters, Jessica Pinto and Sandy McGinnis; five granddaughters and seven grandsons.
A memorial service will be held December 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Lakeside Shelter at Table Rock State Park.
Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, which is assisting the family.
"When I think of those good old days, my eyes with tears do fill; When I think of the tin can by the fire and coyote on the hill.I'll tell you boys, in those days old-timers stood a show;-- Our wagons are all broken and our ponies 'most all dead. Soon we will leave this country; you'll hear and angels shout, "Oh, here they come to Heaven, the camp-fire has gone out."
