William Nelson Brown Jr (Bill), who was currently residing in Powdersville, SC, joined our Lord and Savior on 7/3/2026.

Born on July 26, 1946, in Florence, South Carolina, he was the son of the late William Nelson Brown, Sr., and Lucille Edgerton Brown; and the brother of the late Irene Martin.

Bill is survived by his three loving children, Michael Scott Brown (Nicole), Tiffany Lyles (Jerry), and Natalie Gillespie (Jason); six grandchildren: Michaela Brown, Mia Brown, Macy Pitts, Drayton Pitts, Charlie Gillespie, and Finley Gillespie; three great-grandchildren: Claire, Walker, and Waylon; and the mother of his children, Luvenia Hodson.

Retiring from Southern Bell “AT&T” after 40 years of service; he gave his greatest years in service to others as a volunteer Firefighter and EMT, standing at the ready for his community with unwavering courage. He was an avid hunter, gun and knife collector, and enjoyed old country music and old western shows.

With his humor, quick wit, and big heart, he will be extremely missed by all that knew him.
