William Warren Campbell

William Warren Campbell, 65, husband of Wanda Johnson Campbell, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. A native of San Diego, CA he was the son of the late Warren Francis and Violet Farm Campbell. He was a former Director of Choral Activities as Clemson University and served as Music Director at Clemson United Methodist Church, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, and St. Mark United Methodist Churches. Mr. Campbell also taught at Tri-County Tech, USC Allendale, and Colleton Middle School.

He also served as director of the Golden Corner Barbershop Chorus. He had been a member of the Greenville Chorale and Chamber Singers, Charleston Symphony Chorus and Chamber Singers, St. Jude's Episcopal Church Choir and most recently the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Choir.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Michael Warren Campbell of Glenwood Springs, CO; daughters, Carrie Rebecca Campbell of San Francisco, CA and Jennifer Page Hendricks of Easley, SC; brothers Ronald Campbell (Patsy) of Santa Clarita, CA and Robert Campbell (Chris) of Lancaster, CA; sister, Joyce Campbell (Wes) of Austin, TX and three grandchildren, Kimberly Bearden, Sarah Hendricks and Harris Banks.

Memorial services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson at 3pm on Tuesday. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Church, 193 Old Greenville Hwy., Clemson, SC 29631 or St. Jude's Episcopal Church in Walterboro, SC.
