William A. Champion passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. He is survived by loving wife, Beverly, son, Bill, Jr. his wife, Dulce, daughter, Sue, and her son Keegan.

"Champ" was a Navy flier in WW II and the Korean War, and a graduate of Ohio State University. He logged 38 years with UARCO, Inc., climbing the corporate ladder and excelling in sales management.

In 1987, Bill and Beverly built their home in Keowee Key, and bid farewell to Midwestern winters. In his prime, Bill was quite a tennis player. He was also a lifelong, avid sailor, and a year-round, Clemson Tiger, season ticket holder.

Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road in Central, SC, on Wednesday, January 12, at 2:00pm, conducted by Reverend John Neiman of The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Clemson.
