Mr. William Garraux, III., 73, husband of Joye Huff Garraux, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Havens in the Villages of Chanticleer.
Born in Greenville County, a son of the late William and Alta Elizabeth Hendrix Garraux, Mr. Garraux retired as a plant manager with JD Hollingsworth on Wheels and was a member of Berea First Baptist Church. He was a US Navy veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are a daughter, Scottie Garraux Brown (Mike) of Anderson a brother, Joe Hendrix Garraux (Mary Jo) of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Darla Jones Garraux of Easley; two grandchildren, Christopher Brown, and Brittany Gibbs (Allen); and his beloved dog, Oscar. In addition to his parents, Mr. Garraux was predeceased by a son, Gerry Garraux, and a sister, Alta "Ciddie" Wynn.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2014 at Berea First Baptist Church with Reverends Chad Rickenbaker and Marshall Sargent officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM in the church welcome center, prior to the service.
