William L. "Jay" Hester, Jr., 84, of 17 North Washington Ave, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at Westside Living Center in Greenville.
Born in Pickens, a son of the late William Lawrence and Mattie Mae Smith Hester, he was a retired employee with Gaylord Containers of Greenville, was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was a Veteran of WWII.
Surviving are; his wife, Mary Granger Hester of the home; son, Jeff Hester and wife Crista of Pelzer; grandson, Micah Hester.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Cora Spearman and Mary Arial.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
The family is at their respective homes.
