William W. Hester

Bill W. Hester, of Greenville, passed peacefully Sunday, January 24, 2016.  He was born in Whitmire, SC to the late Carroll E. Hester and Rosabelle Shirey Hester.

Bill was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1980 after close to 20 years of service to his country.   He loved shopping at Thrift Stores and was an avid collector of anything that caught his attention.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Reba Hester Barton and Teresa Hester Kovalaske, both of Hopewell, VA; brothers, Joel Hester of Greenville and Darrell Hester of Honolulu, HI; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren all of Hopewell, VA; Other friends, especially the ladies of Cornerstone Bank in Berea.

Placement will be at a later date in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.

Family has requested donations be made directly to Providence Baptist Church, 8515 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29617.
