William "Bill" Herbert Johnston, loving husband to Helga Marie Johnston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Gary, Indiana, a son to the late William Grant Johnston and the late Mary Catherine Holbrook Johnston, he was a member of Eternal Shephard Lutheran Church in Seneca and proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years in Korea. Mr. Johnston enjoyed skiing, fishing, hunting, boat racing, scuba diving, and motorcycling.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Billy Johnston (Leslie) of Nipomo, CA; daughters, Monika Reeise (Bob) of Boiling Springs, NC and Heidi Cawby (Tim) of Chesnee; a brother, David Allen Johnston of Sandwich, Il; grandchildren, Sabrina, Bobby, Becky, and Dane; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Lee, Brody, Eric, and Andreas.
As a family, we have chosen to honor the life of Husband and Daddy, "Bill", privately and together.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church, 220 Carson Road, Seneca, SC, 29678, in Bill's memory.
