William Joseph "Joe" Hunter

William “Joe” Hunter of Seneca died on May 24, 2024 at 68 years old.

He was born on October 10, 1955 to James and Mary Hunter in Charlotte NC. He attended school at Clemson University and graduated in 1980 with a degree in engineering technology. On December 8, 1991 he married Lisa Thornburgh. Joe and Lisa lived in Richmond VA until 2007 when they relocated to Seneca SC. 

There was no such thing as a stranger to Joe, he would talk to anyone and everyone around him, regardless of how embarrassing his children found it. You could always find him at Clemson baseball games, and was the biggest supporter of the softball team when that program was developed. 

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Hunter, and brother James T Hunter. He is survived by his son, Joseph Samuel Hunter, daughter, Morgan Clare Hunter, and brother, Stephen Hunter.

 There will be a celebration of life at the family’s home at a later date.
