William Curtis Looper, Sr., 66, of Atlanta, Georgia, died January
11, 2010, in Atlanta.
Born April 17, 1943, in Gastonia, NC, he was a son of the late Thomas Lee and Christina Curtis Looper, Mr. Looper was formerly a pilot with Eastern Airlines and retired as a pilot with EVA Airways of Taipei Taiwan.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Swindell Looper; two sons, William Curtis Looper, Jr., and Bryan Looper both of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Charles B. Looper (LaNelle) of Selma, AL; two sisters, Christina Lee Looper (William) of Southwest Harbor, ME, and Nancy Ann Looper Sharpe (Thomas) of Cambridge, England; cousins, Jane Looper Wilson of Punta Gorda, FL, and Judy Looper Harrison of Greenville, Mary Mac Looper Geshwind of Richmond, VA, Joseph Looper of Newport News, VA, J.K. Lathem and Jerome Lathem, both of Easley, Vaden McMillon of Seneca, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will speak to friends after the graveside service.
