Bud Maddox

William Henry "Bud" Maddox, 73, of 202 Timberlane Drive, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Easley, he was a son of of the late Silas and Marie Maddox. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Maddox attended Clemson University and was retired from Sherwin Williams Company in 1996. He was a member of Easley First Baptist Church, Easley Lion's Club and was an avid golfer at Smithfield's Country Club and Pickens Country Club.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Mann Maddox of the home; three daughters, Mary Lynn Goulden and husband Jim of Southern Pines, NC, Marie Crawford and husband James of Cary, NC, Jean Scheffer and husband Jason of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Jean Freeman and husband Ben of Pickens, Mary Helen Terry of North Port, AL; mother-in-law, Velma Mann of Easley; a sister-in-law, Melissa Turner of Laurens; and four grandchildren, Thomas and Barrett Goulden, Abbey Crawford, and expecting, Jason Scheffer, Jr..
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. John Adams and Reverend Doyle Kay officiating. A private burial will be held in Westview Cemetery in Liberty.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church narthex.
