Reverend Edward N. Rowland, 73, husband of the late Lucille Kelly Rowland, died Saturday March 25, 2006 at Palmetto Health Baptist.
A son of the late Frank and Mattie Moore Rowland, Reverend Rowland retired from Cone Mills, and was also a Deacon and Pastor most of his life. He was the Charter Pastor of West End Baptist Church and currently a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Greenville.
Survivors include three sons, Michael E. (Doris) Rowland of Easley, Randy Rowland of Easley, and Benny Ray (Denise) Rowland, of Liberty; two brothers, Billy (Ruby) Rowland, and Bobby (Marcelle) Rowland, all of Easley; two sisters, Gail (Mike) Taylor and Ruth Masters of Easley; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Reverend Rowland is preceded in death by two sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday March 28, 2006 at 3:00 PM in the Downtown Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home with the Reverends Ron Gatlin, Buddy Smith, and Clyde Gravley, Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family will be at the residence, 129 Hollow Oak Lane, Easley.
