William Eugene McCombs, 83, of 603 South E Street, died Sunday, December 17, 2006, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Greenville County, Mr. McCombs was the son of the late David and Maude Barnett McCombs. He retired from the financing industry and was a charter member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Anthony McCombs, of the home; two daughters, Dorothy M. Boroughs of Easley and Carol Dyer and her husband, Joe, of Six Mile; three grandchildren, Danny Farr and his wife, Lynn, of Easley, Cindy Derrick and her husband, Mark, of Gaithersburg, MD and Alicia Clinger and her husband, Glenn, of Easley; one great-grandchild, Jordan Elizabeth Derrick; and a nephew, Jeff Rowland and his wife, Patsy, of Greenville. Mr. McCombs was predeceased by a sister, Florence Rowland.
Graveside funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Paul Turner officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the home, 603 South E Street, Easley, SC 29640.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Hill Baptist Church, 501 Rampey Street, Easley, S.C. 29640.
