William Arthur McGee, 96, of Lost Valley Road, formerly of Flint, MI and Milwaukee, WI , passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Born in Flint, MI, he was a son of the late Clifford and Eunice Stagg McGee.

Mr. McGee was retired from GM, AC Delco Division, in Flint, MI and proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Wagner McGee, of Pickens; children, Linda Susan Porter (Charles) of Omaha, NE and Jane Pardee (Derick) of Pickens; grandchildren, Pamela Clampet (Colin), Patricia Chlopek, Steven Porter, Heather O'Gorman (Oriel), Sarah Camareno, Elizabeth Doyle (William), Rebekah Pardee, Derick Pardee, Jr. (SarahBeth), Ruthanna Pardee and Shelley Pardee; twelve great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Galloway (Jerry) of Mt. Morris, MI.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Hitt.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church in Easley with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 2:30 PM until 3:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

Flowers will be accepted.
