Rev. William McKee

Rev. William A. McKee, 80, of 206 South Seventh Street, husband of the late Mary Gillespie McKee, to whom he was married for fifty-seven years, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Lewis Archie and Mable Brooks McKee, Rev. McKee retired as a Church of God minister.
Surviving are a son William Larry McKee (Debbie) of Spartanburg; four daughters, Mary Esther Driggers (Clyde) of Piedmont, Brenda Faye Bruner of Neeses, Martha Elaine Powell (Lanny) and Alma Jean Tate (Doug), all of Easley; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roy McKee of Mauldin, Randall McKee of Easley and Winslow McKee of Clemson; four sisters, Frances Sargent of Simpsonville, Martha Long of Powdersville, Essie Mae Phillips of Easley and Barbara Ann Oates of Easley. In addition to his wife and parents, Rev. McKee was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret McKee, a brother, Joe McKee and a son-in-law, Eddie Bruner, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
