William George Neckerman, Jr., of 1014 Keystone Lane and husband of Kathryn Van Lear Neckerman died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Sterling House in Central.
Born in Englewood, NJ, he was a son of the late William G. and Pauline Frasch Neckerman. He was retired textile engineer with the Kendall Company. Bill was a graduate of Philadelphia Textile Institute and served 2 years in the US Army designing military uniforms before he began his career in textiles. Bill spent his 16 retirement years volunteering at The Clemson Little Theatre and the Clemson Child Development Center.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters, Kathy Neckerman of Stanford, CT, Ann Wallingford and husband, Ed of Glen Allen, VA, and Holly Neckerman and husband, Doug Esposito of Atlanta, GA; and 6 grandchildren Sam, Frank and Jane Wallingford, Alden Daniel, Juan and Antonio Esposito.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Frissell and Eileen Renn.
Memorial services will be 2 PM, Sunday November 6 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Sterling House of Central, 131 Vickery Drive, Central, SC 29630, Interim Healthcare Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334 or The Clemson Little Theatre, 214 South Mechanic Street, Pendleton, SC 29670.
