William Roy "Billy" Nix, Jr., 60, of 125 Shallowford Road, husband of the late Barbara Simmons Nix, died Sunday, February 11, 2007, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Danville, VA, the son of Ina Wilson Nix of Easley and the late William Roy Nix, Sr., Mr. Nix was a graduate of Central Weslyan College, a self employed contractor, and a member of New Image Outreach. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. Mr. Nix was a father figure to many, and always put others before himself.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Charlie Radford of Liberty; and two grandsons, Aidan and Avery Radford of Liberty.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at New Image Outreach with Rev. Eric Branch oficiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to New Image Outreach, 311 Anderson Highway, Easley, SC 29642.
The family is at the home of Tracy and Charlie Radford, 218 Spring Estates Drive, Liberty, SC 29657.
