William David "Bill" Oaks
Easley
Bill Oaks, 57, of Easley, husband of Carla Wislander Oaks, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born May 18, 1958 in Oak Park, IL, he was a son of Dolores Degelman Wilke of St. Louis, MO. Mr. Oaks grew up in LaGrange, IL and was an avid sports fan, especially all of the teams in Chicago. He was the General Manager of the Easley Golden Corral where he enjoyed making his customers happy and made many friendships along his journey. He was very proud of his family and children and was proud to be a new grandfather.
In addition to his mother and wife of twenty-nine years, he is survived by his children, David Oaks (Morgan Duncan), Daniel Oaks and Kirstyn Oaks, sister, Peggy Gilbert (Charles); brothers, Marcus Oaks (Kay), Robert Oaks (Carol); granddaughter, Althea Magnolia (Maggie) Oaks; two nieces and three nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
The family will receive friends following the service.
