William Harry Palmer, 79, husband of Nellie B. Palmer, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Hospice House of Anderson. He was a native Central and was the son of the late of Warren and Viola Cobb Palmer. He retired from Clemson University and was an Army and Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Guthrie Grove Church of God in Pelzer.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Sheila P. Newton and husband Charlie of Anderson, two granddaughters Rachel and Hillary, and a brother Carl "Buck" Palmer of Anderson. He was predeceased by his twin brother Henry and sister Louise Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 4pm in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Ferrell will be officiating. The family will have a private burial at a later date.
