William Thomas "Bill" Pitts, 83, of 103 North B Street, died Wednesday April 2, 2008 at the Hospice House of Anderson.
Mr. Pitts was born in Easley, a son of the late George Earl "Bub" Pitts, Sr. and Sara "Sallie" Batson Pitts. He retired from Mayfair Mills - Glenwood Plant and was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of W.W. II.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Hendricks Pitts, of the home ; a daughter, Becky Shaffer and her husband, Larry, of Columbia ; two brothers, Roy Pitts and his wife, Ruth, and George Pitts, Jr., all of Easley ; two sisters, Betty Sanders and her husband, Tommy, of Easley and Eva Mae Leonard and her husband, Keith, of Gatlinburg, Tennessee ; two grandchildren, Chris Mann and his wife, Stephanie, and Jennifer Jennings and her husband, Brent, all of Easley ; three great-grandchildren, Emily Mann, Christopher Mann and Anna Jennings.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with the Reverend Greg Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
