William Ellsworth "Bill" Porterfield, 83, husband of Edna Janice Binns Porterfield passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Clemson Downs.

Mr. Porterfield was born in Parkersburg, WV and was a son of the late, Friend and Myrtle Porterfield. He worked for many years with Binns Food Center in Flushing, OH, and later moved to Clemson and retired from Winn Dixie Stores as a butcher. Mr. Porterfield served in the U. S. Army.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Linda (Eric) McFalls of Greenville and Gail (Ray) Latham of Westerville, OH; one sister, Roberta Adamson of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Kaylyn Guthrie, Dustin McFalls, William and Daniel Latham.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Walt, Bud, and Ronnie Porterfield; two sisters, Laura Ann Ambuehl and Mary Lou George.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Corley Center at Clemson Downs with Rev. Ken Reid officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Ohio.
