William Ray Reid, 73, husband of Helen Jean Lusk Reid, of 117 Creek Bend Drive, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 1, 2015.
Born in Salem, SC, he was a son of the late Evan David and Ethel Kelley Reid. He was a retired logger and a member of Cateechee Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Clarence Thomas (Deborah) Reid of Six Mile, Allen Ray (Sharon) Reid of Westminster and Troy Eugene (Jennifer) Reid of Landrum; daughters, Mary Ann (Michael) Marchbanks of Six Mile and Melinda Jean (Eric) Giovino of Lake Mont, GA; brother, Earnest Melton Reid of Mountain Rest, SC and sisters, Gladys Reid Cannon and Louise Reid Johnson all of Salem; grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Lynn, Lori, Michael, Chelsea, Kaila, Gaspar, Addison, Kylie and Tylar; great grandchildren, Atticus, Spencer, Waylan and Chloe.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Danny Ray Reid; a brother, Evan David Reid; sisters, Margie Reid Cannon and Minnie Mae Hyatt Justus.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Wednesday in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Walhalla.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
