William Sexton

William (Nig) Sexton Central

William (Nig) Sexton, 87, of 593 Silver Creek Road, Widower of Hazel Louise Pinion Sexton, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at The Hospice House in Anderson. He was a native of Pickens County and was the son of the late Claude and Betty Martin Sexton. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughter Joan Nix (Rev. Roger) of Warrenville, SC; sons, Woody (Amelia) of Liberty, Don of the home, Gene (Kathy), Jimmy, Troy (Lisa), Phil (Kathy) all of Central; daughter-in-law Gail Sexton of Anderson; brothers, Buck of Dacusville and Buddy of Liberty, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter Carolyn and son William Jr., brothers, Casey and Sam and sisters, Margaret Elrod and Eloise Wilhoit.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 3pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home followed by interment at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
