Mr. William Kenneth "Kenny" Thompson, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, April 23, 2021.
Born in Hardin County, KY, a son of the late William Raymond Thompson and the late Anna Ray Thompson, Mr. Thompson retired from Civil Service at Fort Knox and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed yardwork, farming, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Surviving are two sons, Greg Thompson (Sunea) of Elizabethtown, KY and Brent Thompson (Leah) of Easley; a daughter, Laura McDonald (Rod) of Garland, TX; former wife, Ann Thompson of Easley; brothers, Randall Thompson (Vonnie) of Elizabethtown, KY, Pat Thompson (Marlene) of Indiana, and Ricky Thompson (Janet) of Big Spring, KY; a sister, Annetta Avitt (Roscoe) of Brandenburg, KY; grandchildren, Amber, Nathan, Megan, Morgan, Atticus, Elizabeth, Billy, Jason, Samuel, and Ava; and many other great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was predeceased by sisters, Jean Corbett and Betty White.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Scroll to the video player below to view the service. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choosing.
